Mackenzie works closely with her students to identify their specific goals and aspirations in golf, crafting tailored training programs that address their needs. Mackenzie teaches full-time out of Talking Stick Golf Club's new state of the art facility located on the back of the driving range. The facility combines the best of both worlds with indoor and outdoor teaching areas. Whether its raining or simply too hot out, you can get your game dialed in the air-conditioned practice studio, ensuring optimal practice conditions year-round. The outdoor facility provides the ability to work on all short-game areas as well as turf interaction if that's what you are looking for. Mackenzie provides premier golf balls that offer her students the same feel and performance that they experience on the course. She utilizes a Full Swing launch monitor, delivering real-time data alongide swing video analysis, allowing you to visualize and understand your movements on the spot. Background
Mackenzie was born and raised in Iowa to a golfing family, where her love for the sport was nurtured from an early age. As she honed her skills and passion for the game, it became evident that golf was more than just a hobby for her. Following her dreams, Mackenzie continued on to play NCAA Division 1 golf at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Her time in college allowed her to refine her skills further and provided invaluable experiences as she traveled across the United States.
After college, Mackenzie took the next step in her career, moving to sunny Arizona to pursue her dream of playing professional golf. For three years Mackenzie dedicated herself to the competitive world of professional golf. Though the journey was filled with challenges, she embraced the experience and grew both as an athlete and an individual. Mackenzie's passion for golf found a new outlet in 2019 as she found herself transitioning from a player to a teacher. Prior to her time at Talking Stick Golf Club, Mackenzie spent 4 years as an integral part of the coaching team at Gainey Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her warm and approachable demeanor, combined with her playing background, has made her a sought-after golf instructor in the region.
Beyond the course Mackenzie is happily married to her husband Ian, and together they share the joys and challenges of parenthood raising their adorable daughter Zoey. Mackenzie's journey from Iowa to Arizona and from competitive golfer to nurturing instructor, exemplifies her unwavering dedication to the sport she loves and her desire to inspire others to discover the magic of golf, just as she did.
